Beyond Supportive Supervision: Facilitating Growth Through Developmental and Reflective Practice
Many clinicians step into supervisory roles with strong clinical skills but little formal training in how to facilitate supervisee growth over time. This workshop introduces developmentally informed and reflective approaches to supervision, drawing from the Integrated Developmental Model (IDM) and the CARE Framework for Clinical Supervision to help supervisors more intentionally support clinical growth, reflective practice, and professional identity development. Participants will leave with practical strategies for adapting supervision to developmental level, facilitating stronger clinical thinking, and moving beyond primarily supportive or administrative supervision.
